when do designers get to draw the line
when you’re coding a layout that you absolutely aren’t happy with because your client murdered it, are you supposed to stop and retain your designer dignity, or do you just suck it up because he’s paying you anyway? i find myself alt+tabbing to tumblr every 5 lines of code.
seriously, when and where the hell do we get to draw the line?

when you’re a kid, anything and everything excites you. the summer sun, the sand on your shoes, the lights of daddy’s car as it parks in the driveway. when you get older, you try not to get excited. minimize the excitement in the attempt to suppress life’s disappointments.
see when we grow older, when we’re done with our ABCs, we learn other things. other concepts. like...
